Turlock Irrigation District (TID) has contracted with Synergy Companies* to offer energy efficiency products and services at no-cost for your multifamily complex to:

• Improve the comfort of your residents
• Help lower utility bills
• Improve indoor air quality

What to Expect:

The Direct Install Multifamily Complex Program is designed to help you save energy as well as improve the comfort of your residents. The products and services provided are available to you at no cost.

When you choose to participate, an assessor from Synergy Companies will determine what measures qualify for the multifamily complex. Afterwards, a technician will install the qualified energy efficient products and services within multifamily units that qualify.

No Cost Energy-Efficient Products & Services May Include:

• Duct Test & Seal - Test your duct system to detect leakage. Identified leaks will be sealed, helping improve the airflow, comfort, and energy savings.
• Smart Thermostat- Replace qualifying thermostats with a new smart thermostat that is designed to assist in using heating and cooling more efficiently.
• LED lighting - Upgrade bulbs to LED to reduce lighting usage by up to 75%.
• Attic Insulation - Bring insulation to R-38 to increase comfort and lower energy usage.
• Caulking - Prevent outside air from entering apartment while also reducing inside air from escaping.
• Air Conditioning Refrigerant Charge - Technicians check and adjust refrigerant levels to improve air conditioner’s efficiency
• Blower Motor Retrofit - Replace qualifying blower motors in HVAC systems with brushless technology to decrease energy usage.
• Efficient Fan Control Switch - Push the remaining cold air from your duct system into your apartment after the AC shuts off.
• Weatherstripping - Install weatherstripping around doors to help keep comfortable temperatures inside.

How to Participate

If you manage a multifamily complex and have TID as your utility company, you may qualify for this program.

1. Call 877-836-1329 or click "Request Appointment."
2. Have products and services installed at no-cost. (Note: Some measures may not be eligible for your complex.)
3. Enjoy the energy and comfort savings.
